Consignment Auction Details:

1. Selling your baskets on consignment via Ebay Auctions is similar to selling your baskets at a local auction with a few important differences.
2. Local auctions are limited in space and the bidding population is normally limited to local buyers. Ebay Auctions reach national – and even international bidders. With a larger bidding population (higher viewing exposure), the potential for higher selling prices will be much greater.
3. Local auctioneers charge anywhere between 32-45% commissions on consigned item sales.

4. Local auctioneers often assess a buyer’s premium (10-15% of item selling price) which is added onto the selling price at auction ending. The auctioneer retains this additional amount in an effort to cover check fees, credit card fees and personnel charges. Buyer’s premium fees are not passed onto the seller. Bidders often keep their bidding low in an attempt to minimize this after auction surcharge that will be added onto their bill at auction ending. Ebay consignment sale auctions will not assess a buyer’s premium fee onto the bidder.

Baskets, Pottery, Accessories & Wrought Iron:

• Any/all Longaberger products and related collecctible item will be accepted for consignment sales.
• All items are to be delivered to Basket City, USA. Shipment or delivery details will vary depending upon where the seller is located.

Selling Price:

• We strongly encourage sellers to list any all items at an opening bid of $9.95 or less with No Reserve in effect – which means that the item being sold will be sold to the highest bidder. This facilitates a ‘live’ auction environment and encourages bidders to bid competitively.
• If a seller wishes to protect their investment in some of the higher priced baskets (J.W. Collection, etc) then we suggest that the seller keep opening bids at a realistic initial starting level so as to not discourage bidders from participating in the auction.
• Basket City, USA has no control over the ending auction prices – meaning – what each item sells for is based solely upon the discretion of the bidders.

Seller Responsibility:

• Sellers will sign an Auction Consignment Agreement which protects both parties involved.
• The seller agrees to pay Basket City, USA the following fee schedule of the final selling price of each item posted on Ebay.

• The seller also agrees to pay all Ebay fees associated with the auction including listing and selling fees.
  

• We will offer payment options of PayPal, Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, Checks and Money Orders with the seller paying all fees associated with credit card and check processing.

• The Final Value Fee is calculated per item sold, based on the final sale price of the item.

$25 - $1,000	5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000)
Over $1,000	5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31), plus 3.25% of the initial $25 - $1000 ($26.81), plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($1000.01 - closing value)

Basket City, USA Responsibility:

• Upon receipt on consigned items – we will inventory, catalog item detail, digital photograph and will list the item on Ebay in the appropriate category for a minimum period of 5 days.
• We may also advertise auctions via our private mailing list – in addition to a posting on our website. We have an email list of over 8000 buyers – nationwide – who have been customers of ours since 1997. This would be done at no additional charge to the seller.
• We will professionally package and ship all items to buyers upon receipt of auction payment. Basket City, USA will collect shipping charges directly from the buyer.
• We will offer payment options of MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Checks and Money Orders with the seller paying all fees associated with credit card and check processing.
• We will issue payment to the seller on items sold and paid for in full. Items not sold or unpaid will be returned to the seller – or (at the seller’s option) held for inclusion in the next monthly online auction.
